Tamarind prices are rising slowly. The next crop had been badly affected by untimely and insufficient rain. It did not rain when required for the fruit to blossom. Then it rains heavily when it was late that destroyed most flowering.
Crop is estimated to be only 30 to 40% of normal harvest in most producing centres and it will most definitely arrive late than normal
